Who are we?
JS Carpentry and Joinery is a small company with a considerable amount of experience in the construction industry. John, the owner, has 30 years' experience in the construction industry, as a surveyor and a qualified carpenter and joiner, so you can be assured of a professional service and high quality work.
We can help to create the perfect fitted kitchen, staircase
and so much more for domestic and commercial premises. We pride ourselves on our work and have built up an enviable reputation with our customers from our commitment to deliver a first class service. For areas in which we are not experts, we are in regular contact with our suppliers and other trade professionals.
Our portfolio in both carpentry and joinery ranges from roof construction, structural timber floors, bespoke cupboards
to stairs. We also undertake small refurbishment
and extension work, working alongside other trades. Although we do not employ other trades we have a wide network of professionals whom are only a phone call away.

At JS Carpentry and Joinery we pride ourselves in producing quality work at a competitive price in a safe working environment. There are a number of ways we have achieved a safe working practice:

- Practicing the general rules of prevention mainly by avoiding risk where reasonably possible.
- Conducting risk assessments and producing a method statement where appropriate.
- Planning and working with our Client’s during both the planning stage and the construction phase.
- Only having skilled, competent and experienced staff running each job.
- Using appropriate tools for each job.
- Using suitable dust extractors where appropriate.
- Having the appropriate personal protective equipment for each task.
To maintain suitable, qualified staff we continually invested in training courses, this includes:
- First aid at Work certificate by the British Red Cross.
- CITB Advanced Craft in Construction Skills Certification Scheme.
- CITB Managers and Professional test.
- CITB Site Managers Safety Training Scheme.
We understand that even with safety procedures in place and undertaking work at best practice accident can still happen, that is why we carry public liability insurance up to £2m.

This amount will be added to a running total, commencing between the start and the end of each financial year. We will then make a one off payment to Parkinson’s UK at the start of the following financial year.
